Everybody's Irish
Happy Saint Patrick's Day, the glorious day of celebrating the great christian missionary St. Patrick. Just a little history on St. Patrick if you didn't know. Patrick was kidnapped at the age of sixteen by Roman british Isle band pirates, who then threw Patrick into slavery. Patrick was a sheppard who swho turned to religion for solace. After six years of slavery patrick escaped to the Irish Coast and back to Britain. Back in his homeland, Patrick became a priest and started to dream of visions of people from ireland wanting him to return to spread the word of Christianity. Patrick traveled to ireland and became a christian missionary, all though there were christians in Ireland at the time, Patrick laid the ground work for a lot of monasteries and churches. He converted many followers into christianinty and became a saint. In 1737 St. Patricks Day was first celebrated in Boston, Massachuttes and in 1766 the first parade for St. Patty's was taken place in New York City. Today is the gloriest day for all of us to celebrate the great St. Patrick. In slippery rock and all over the world, "Today Everybody Is Irish". Lenndogg Out!!!
