Back to the Grid Iron
Spring Break is now over and the second half of the semester has begun. Its going to be an excited second half of the semester. I started training for the Pittsburgh Marathon. A lot of the PE students are geting teams around with some of the professors in our department. Its rough now because its still cold outside and the only time i can get out to run is in the morning before classes. Slippery Rock is a town that consist of hills, either up hill or down hill. Training is hard enough, fitting a few miles in a day is intense but throwing in hills within those miles, now that is a challenge. I beleive physical activity is something that every individual should do, no matter if they are 10 or 70 our bodies are made to move and there is always a way to get around and become physically active. If you may, please take an hour of your busy day and get some sort of physical activity in your life. There are many benefits when people become physically active a few is better sleep and decreasing stress level. Schedule an hour a day and do something fun for your body. If you need any suggestion please let me know. Have a great day and get out and be active. Lenndogg Out!!!

I've been putting off starting to train for the marathon! I'm excited though to run in it. I agree with you about Slippery Rock and its hills. Phew. I praise you for getting up before class and running a few miles! I'm looking forward to the weather getting warmer and dryer so running outdoors will be altogether better.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean when your talking about training. Since I'm in ROTC we run outside 3 days a week and inside 2 days a week. I know what you mean about Slippery Rock being hilly, man o man do I hate running in Slippery Rock. At my house everything is nice and flat and maybe a few big hills here and there but if you take the right path you can always aviod the hills. But your right on taking a hour out of your day for physical activity. Before I joined ROTC I would just play sports like 3 times a week, maybe, but now that I run everyday my stress and sleep got a lot better. I love working out now
